Theatre4Change is a Galway-based group who are bringing Augusto Boal's Theatre of the Oppressed to the city in the form of several workshops. Theatre of the Oppressed is a unique form of interactive theatre where participants are invited to not only attend but to actively participate - a form of involvement known as being a 'spect-actor'.
Anne and Janna from T4C joined up on the Breakfast Show to discuss how their workshops will explore the concept of 'Who Cares for the Carers'. They explained the concepts behind Theatre of the Oppressed, and how the workshops will be facilitated for anyone in a care role, formal or informal, to explore the systematic issues they regularly face, in a constructive and safe space. As they say - 'its a rehearsal for life'.
