Galway audiences are set for a unique sensory experience as Synaesthesia: Immersive Live Art Performance comes to Nun’s Island Theatre on April 10th at 8pm.
Speaking on GOCOM Radio’s Breakfast Show with Jason Browne, artist and performer Freya and her partner Darragh, shared insights into the inspiration behind the show, describing it as a powerful fusion of sound, visual art, and live performance designed to engage multiple senses at once.
The performance will feature an immersive soundscape, live projections, and real-time painting, creating a dynamic and evolving artistic environment. Incorporating elements of An Ghaeilge, the show also celebrates cultural expression and language in a contemporary format.
Freya highlighted the importance of creating spaces where audiences can experience art beyond traditional formats—inviting them not just to watch, but to feel and connect deeply with the performance.
Synaesthesia promises to be a vibrant and experimental addition to Galway’s cultural calendar, bringing together creativity, innovation, and community engagement in one unforgettable evening.
