Galway International Arts Festival, a multidisciplinary arts festival starts on July 17th to 30th in Galway.

Galway International Arts Festival is the Festival of extraordinary experiences, a creative collision of performance, music, visual art, theatre and spectacle. The Festival is special. Worlds, cultures and dreams collide, inspiring passion, creativity and new ways of thinking.

A meaningful way to be part of extraordinary is to become a Festival volunteer. GIAF volunteers are key in ensuring audiences have a positive experience; by volunteering, one gets to experience the behind the scenes of an arts festival, receive a complimentary t-shirt and volunteer kit, avail of discounts at local businesses, meet new people and so much more. If you are an art student or art enthusiasts, there is one more option of getting involved! This is by applying to become a VAIP participant (Visual Arts Invigilation Programme) where you will become one of the core invigilators of the Festival gallery, you will access network opportunities and receive a special training including meeting artists, art curators and arts producers. Application form for VAIP is now on and closes on 31st May.
