On the Breakfast Show, Peter Butler of Conservation Volunteers Ireland spoke to us about ongoing conversation efforts in Lough Atalia relating to Common Terns. Peter shared the journey of Conservation Volunteers and spoke about the passion and commitment that people shared in order to create an ecologically safer space. Peter also spoke about the wealth of skills and abilities that people bring to this, and other voluntary organisation across the country.
Peter explained the situations behind migratory patterns, bird behaviour, natural predators and Avian Influenza. Peter talks about the complicated situations that can arise from problems that have seemingly simple solutions, and how the work being done now is work that is being done for the future.
