AkiDwA Marks 25 Years of Supporting Migrant Women With Nationwide Events & Gala Planned for November

Established in Dublin in 2001, AkiDwA has been representing migrant women in Ireland for 25 years now, bringing the voices and experiences of migrant communities into national policy and decision-making spaces.

Tracy Mboli, the Policy and Communications Officer at AkiDwA, joined Jason Browne on the Breakfast Show to discuss the organisation’s 25th anniversary, outlining a series of events including a Health Summit in Dundalk and a Brain Gain event in Dublin, alongside ongoing mental health and empowerment initiatives. The milestone year will conclude with a fundraising gala in November, aimed at sustaining AkiDwA’s work and expanding its impact.
